Occupier: real-time space strategy in your browser

Occupier is a free real-time strategy game set among floating islands in space. Claim an island, grow your army, and send your forces across the map to take over your rivals’ islands, one battle at a time.

Matches are short and fast. Every island you hold produces new troops, links between islands let your forces travel faster, and the last commander standing wins. It all runs in 3D, right in your browser, with nothing to install.

Features

Real-time battles

There are no turns. Armies grow and move continuously, so timing your attacks and reinforcements is everything.

Linked islands

Islands are connected by routes. Forces travel faster along them, so holding a chain of islands speeds up every attack further down the line.

Worlds to conquer

Play across different worlds and maps. Each one changes the layout of the islands and how tough your rivals are.

Upgrades

Improve your commander between matches: faster-moving forces and islands that produce troops more quickly.

Plays in your browser

A full 3D strategy game built for the web. Open the site, sign in and play: no download and no installation.

How to play

  1. Pick an island to claim it as your own before the competition starts.

  2. Your armies grow over time on every island you control.

  3. Move your army toward a rival island to attack, or toward your own to reinforce it.

  4. Wipe out every rival army and occupy all islands to win the match.

Strategy hints

  • Bigger islands grow armies faster, but they are also the first target for rivals.

  • Split your forces to press multiple islands at once, but don’t overextend and leave your own islands undefended.

  • Reinforcing an island you already own is often safer than opening a new front.

  • You can move faster between connected islands, so claiming the islands along a route speeds up reinforcements and attacks further down the line.
