Terms and Conditions

Last updated: October 7, 2026

1. Scope and Provider
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of Occupier ("the Game"), a real-time space strategy game where players occupy planets and send armies to battle, available at occupier.online. The Game is provided by Maziar Asadicordshooli, Schulstr. 5, 67655 Kaiserslautern, Germany ("we", "us"); see our Imprint for full contact details. How we handle your personal data is described separately in our Privacy Policy.
2. Eligibility and Contract
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account if you live in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, and at least 13 elsewhere. - The contract between you and us is concluded when you register an account and agree to these Terms. - The Game is free to play. It is financed by advertising shown on the website (see section 6). - Each person may hold one account. Accounts are personal and may not be sold, shared or transferred.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account that you are responsible for. Please tell us right away if you suspect someone else is using your account. Your username must not infringe anyone's rights or be offensive, misleading or unlawful.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: - use cheats, bots, exploits, or unauthorised third-party software to gain an unfair advantage; - interfere with or disrupt the Game, its servers or other players' accounts, or try to gain unauthorised access to them; - use the Game for any unlawful, abusive or harassing purpose; - reverse engineer, decompile or extract the Game's source code, except where the law permits it.
5. Virtual Items and In-Game Currency
Planets, armies, resources, in-game currency ("ocoin") and other in-game content are earned through play and cannot be bought with real money. They have no real-world monetary value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred outside the Game. We may adjust, rebalance or reset in-game content where this is necessary for game balance, fairness, maintenance or security. We will take your interests into account and announce significant resets in advance where reasonably possible.
6. Advertising
The website shows advertising provided by Google AdSense. Where the law requires it, advertising cookies are only used with your consent, which you can give, refuse or change at any time via "Privacy settings" at the bottom of every page. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
7. Intellectual Property
All game assets, code, graphics and other content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Game for personal, non-commercial entertainment for the duration of this contract.
8. Availability and Changes to the Game
We aim to keep the Game available and working, but as a free service we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may temporarily restrict access for maintenance, security or technical reasons. We may further develop and change the Game's features where this is reasonable for you, taking your interests into account.
9. Term and Termination
- The contract runs for an indefinite period. - You may end it at any time, without notice, by asking us to delete your account at maziarrasadii@gmail.com. - We may end it with two weeks' notice by email, for example if we discontinue the Game. - Either side may end it immediately for good cause. For us, good cause includes serious or repeated breaches of section 4 despite a warning, or breaches serious enough that a warning is unreasonable (such as attacks on our servers). In such cases we may also suspend your account temporarily while we look into it. - When the contract ends, your account and data are deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Liability
- We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz), and to the extent we have given a guarantee. - For damage caused by slight negligence, we are liable only if we breach an essential contractual obligation — one whose fulfilment makes proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on which you may regularly rely. In that case our liability is limited to the damage that is typical and foreseeable for this kind of contract. - Otherwise, our liability for slight negligence is excluded. - These limitations also apply in favour of our representatives and assistants.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may change these Terms where there is a valid reason, such as new features, changes in the law or court decisions, or security needs. We will send you the changed Terms by email at least six weeks before they take effect. If you do not object within those six weeks, the changes are deemed accepted; we will point out this consequence and your right to object in that email. If you object, the contract continues under the existing Terms, but we may then end it with the notice period in section 9. Changes to the core of the contract — such as making the Game paid — always require your express agreement.
12. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of the country where you have your habitual residence. We are neither willing nor obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
13. Final Provisions
If any provision of these Terms is or becomes invalid, the remaining provisions stay in effect; the statutory provisions apply in place of the invalid one.
